Aesthetic Nurse Specialist/Practice Manager
Shawn Olsen, R.N., C.P.S.N.
Shawn Olsen specializes in advanced facial enhancements, and has a reputation for excellence. She has been a nationally recognized trainer with Aesthetic Advancements, Inc., and has personally trained hundreds of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physicians assistants in the art of aesthetic injections. She is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses and one of a select few recruited trainers for the Allergan-sponsored ACE/EPIC speaker program. She travels nationally, educating medical staff on all forms of non-surgical aesthetic procedures. Currently Ms. Olsen is part of the training program for Allergan, traveling throughout the country training physicians on the newest FDA-approved treatments, Kybella, which is used to treat submental fat (commonly described as the “double chin”), Vollure, and Volbella the newest in the Juvederm family of dermal fillers. Experience matters.

Office Coordinator/Ideal Protein Educator
Maggie serves as our office coordinator and Brilliant Distinctions liaison, assisting patients in money saving rewards. She has currently assisted in saving our patient’s over $172,000 in Brilliant Distinctions. Maggie is also a certified Ideal Protein Coach, successfully completing all levels of Ideal Protein Methodology and is here to help you to better health and well-being. Maggie manages the day-to-day operations to navigate each patient through their skincare journey. Maggie is an expert on all of our medical grade skincare: SkinMedica and Revision. Maggie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Movement and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Iowa.

Thomas F. Viner, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Thomas F. Viner was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and grew up in Leon, Iowa. He attended Central Decatur High School, graduating in 1965. He attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, graduating in 1969. He attended the University of South Dakota Medical School from 1969 to 1971 and The University of Iowa Medical School from 1971 to 1973, graduating in 1973.
He was in general practice 1974 to 1975 at the Leon Clinic in Leon, Iowa. His otolaryngology residency was 1975 to 1979 at The University of Iowa. He has practiced Otolaryngology and head and neck surgery in Iowa City since 1979.
Dwayne T. Capper, M.D., F.A.C.S.
In 1988 Dr. Capper graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Iowa Wesleyan College. He entered the University of Iowa College of Medicine and received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1992.
From 1992 to 1993 he completed a Preliminary Surgical Residency from the Medical College of Wisconsin and started his Otolaryngology Residency, which he completed in 1997 at the same college. He then returned to Iowa City after completing his training.
In August of 1998, Dr. Capper joined ENT Medical Services Medical Services. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Thomas A. Simpson, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Simpson is a native Iowan, born and raised in Iowa City. His distinguished career started with a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in 1984 in Psychology from The University of Iowa.
In June of 1984, he joined the prestigious Cardiovascular Research Center at the University Of Iowa College Of Medicine as a Research Assistant under the direction of Robert Felder, M.D. In 1990, Dr. Simpson graduated with a degree in Medicine from the University Of Iowa College Of Medicine.
From 1990 to 1991 he completed a General Surgery Internship at Gunderson Clinic/Lutheran Hospital in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Dr. Simpson then returned to the University Of Iowa Department Of Otolaryngology and spent four years in the Head and Neck Surgery Residency Program. In March of 1996 Dr. Simpson was certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Jeremy D. Vos, M.D., F.A.C.S, F.A.A.O.A.
Dr. Vos grew up just across the Mississippi River in Macomb, Illinois, and throughout his childhood got to know Eastern Iowa while visiting his grandfather’s farm near Pella.
Dr. Vos moved to Iowa City when he was 18, and completed his undergraduate degree in mathematics at the University of Iowa, graduating with highest distinction. He then attended medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was inducted into the medical honors society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
His education next took him to Nashville, Tennessee, where he completed a General Surgery internship, followed by four additional years of specialty training in Otolaryngology surgical residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Vos was thrilled to move back home to Iowa, joining ENT Medical Services Medical Services in August 2006.
Daniel Olney, M.D., F.A.C.S.
An Iowa City native, Dr. Olney, specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face and neck as well as general head and neck surgery-otolaryngology.
After graduating from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Dr. Olney completed residency training at the University of Rochester Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. His education also included rigorous training in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery during a highly competitive fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of Missouri.
Dr. Olney’s special interests include rhinoplasty, surgical correction of the aging face (facelift surgery), eyelid surgery and cosmetic skin care. He is double board certified in Facial Plastic Surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr Olney is also a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery Incorporation.
Dr. Michael Reed, M.D.
Doctor Michael J. Reed was born in southern Louisiana and grew up in the small town of Ville Platte, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2005.
Dr. Reed then earned his Doctorate of Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA in 2009. This is where he met his wife and following medical school, they moved to Iowa City, IA, to pursue their residency training in their respective fields. Dr. Reed was the Chief Resident in his final year of training and completed his residency in 2014.
Dr. Reed was thrilled to accept a position with ENT Medical Services, PC in Iowa City. He and his wife currently reside in Coralville, IA, with their three daughters. He loves spending time with his family including traveling, drawing and painting with his daughters, and all activities outdoors.
